"I started going to Anytime Fitness 6 months ago. At that time I was overweight (205 lbs) and was taking medication for high blood pressure and cholesterol. My doctor told me my blood sugar levels were above the 'normal range' and I was going to have to start taking medication for that also. Up to that point in my life, I had always made my career and other things more important in my life, which is probably typical of most people. It was time to make taking care of myself my #1 priority. The facility is great and has any machines and free weights that anyone could desire. Other fitness centers might may be larger, but they really can't offer more other than 'size'. When I first began, I used the machines and slowly started to make improvements. Initially I could only run about 1/4 mile on the treadmill; I now run 3-4 miles a day. Because of my health issues, I've concentrated primarily on the cardio exercises and have made significant improvements. My weight has dropped from 205 to 180 lbs, my blood pressure is down and I expect my doctor to take me off both the blood pressure and cholesterol medications. My blood sugar levels have dropped significantly and I now average within the 'normal range'. My waist size has gone from a tight 36 to a loose 34 and I expect to be buying 32 inch jeans in the next couple of months. I feel great and all of my friends have noticed the change and say I even look younger. This is a no-brainer. I work out on a regular basis and watch my diet - this is NOT hard & its not rocket science." |
